It isn’t only a lack of sleep that is causing you to feel tired but there are a number of small things that can cause you to feel exhausted, both mentally or physically.
In identifying these common mistakes, one can easily bring their energy levels up to speed. That said, here are 3 reasons why you might feel tired, and what you can do about them:
#1: Not drinking enough water
Even slight dehydration can cause you to have flagging energy levels. Since it causes a reduction in blood volume, your hearts pumps slower and which will reduce the oxygen and nutrients that reach your organs and muscles. In order to find out how much water you should drink, find out how much you weigh in pounds and divide that number in half. Now, drink that many ounces of water a day.
#2: Less consumption of iron
If you have an iron deficiency, then it leaves you feeling weak, sluggish and irritable. Most of all, unable to focus as well. For this, it is a good idea to eat leafy green veggies, tofu, lean beef, kidney beans and eggs. It must be pointed out that an iron deficiency can mean that there is a health issue. So, it’s a good idea to get that checked!
#3: Striving for perfection
Most people who strive for perfection are the types who tend to work longer, harder than is really necessary. One big reason for this is setting unrealistic goals that are impossible to achieve. When you can’t achieve it, then it leaves with absolutely no sense of self-satisfaction. It is recommended that you set a time limit and stick to it.
