Taking your workout to the next level doesn’t involve a revision of your workout. Instead, it’s about a new approach towards your training which is needed especially if you’ve got the basics in place.
In fact, this approach begins even before you pick up a dumbbell which will result in meeting your goals faster than you ever imagined.
With that said, here are 3 principles that will definitely take your workout to the next level:
#1: Enter the gym with a set of standards in mind
A set of standards means creating a physical list that puts down what you are going to do. For example, it could be that you are going to finish your workout within 45 minutes or even something as simple as pushing harder than usual.
#2: Write your program down before starting your workout
Also, avoid just walking into the gym and doing what you think is right. The first thing you need to do is which exercises you’ll be doing, in which order and how many reps and sets you will be doing for that day. Make a clear list of things you are going to do for that day and get through it by the time you are done with the workout.
#3: Set a time limit to complete your workout
The most effective people are the ones who set a deadline. This would be no different with your workout as it will prevent you from wasting your time by either fiddling around, losing out on momentum built or even letting your rest time exceed the limits.
